Having a second child at the age of 40 : perhaps I also had a contact with my Angel, thirteen years ago, well, I had my first daughter when I was 22, back in 1982, I thought that was enough, but then when I was around 40 years old I felt I needed a second child, but I did not get pregnant; I desired it so much that I was constantly dreaming of buggies and trolleys with babies inside, but nothing, in the end, I resigned myself, also because in the meantime a few years had passed.
So, I decided to leave it, my gynecologist even told me that it was not possible to conceive because he found two large fibromas and a uterus that no longer was ideal for a pregnancy, they even recommended at some point to have a hysterectomy, and so I resigned myself.
A few years later, at the age of 46, I skipped a menstrual cycle, I thought of the menopause, and so I scheduled a bunch of exams, among which was a pregnancy test, and guess what?, it was positive, I was pregnant.
And so I started my journey towards my second pregnancy.
At one point, together with my daughter, we started thinking of a name for the baby, who was a boy, we could not agree on a name that everyone liked, and one day, towards the seventh month of pregnancy, as I was going up the stairs of the hospital to take a test, I was intensely thinking about how to call my son, every step was a name, no, not this one, not this one, and suddenly I had a mental flash, a white light in my eyes, and a name was etched in my mind, Davide.
I turned around, looked at my husband, and said “our son will be called Davide”.
And so it was, at the age of almost 47, I gave birth to our boy, whose Angel chose a name for him.
I don’t know if it was my Guardian Angel, or one of the many Angels that look after us, all I know is that such a common name had not come into the minds of any of us.
